I especially got a "oh. yeah!" on the doing what others were telling me to do, what to write, what sells, how to do it. It's a trap I fell into for myself even though as a fiction coach i'm always telling clients that they will find THEIR own way of writing, beyond the foundational elements. Sowing. Sounds good to me. Especially the preposition after it..."to." Sowing TO something makes all the difference.
