Tami and Gilliebean, if you find anything that works for you, be sure to post and let us know! Everyone is always looking for another tip. :)

Steph, the whiteboard has to be erased when it gets full, and I won't find the notes if I don't type them into my Scrivener file, so YES I'll type them up!

Good luck with your writing everyone!

I know exactly what you mean about never transcribing notes from the voice recorder. LOL I have hundreds, at least half related to my writing projects. One day I might actually use the software that transcribes them for me. First, though, I need to spend 30 mins on so "training" it. Hey! Maybe I need to let that be my next "distraction turned productive" activity. LOL

Great post. Anything that turns a distraction into something useful is a good thing. :) Regarding the whiteboard . . . WILL you transfer the notes or will it end up being a 2nd step that doesn't get done, like transcribing the recorder entries? What I've done in the past is to take a picture of the whiteboard so I have the info (did this a lot when I was homeschooling and needed the board for new info). Hope the new method keeps working!

Usually I'm a bit more organized than I have been lately, but I've been fighting with this myself - productivity tanking because I'm "too busy".

A well-timed post for me. Thank you.
