Focusing is a much better word than plotting. I'm spending this month focusing my novel and next month writing it. Kitty, I think I agree. Sure does work great for some people, though. And I'm sure you'll find working in a group motivating for you. I've also done the starting over with a rewrite of a book that I'd gotten confused about but still loved. The second time through, it was MUCH better! I'm sure yours will be, too.
