Need some outside motivation to finish your WIP? How about a neutral-third-party opinion?
More and more I am seeing online contests for writers where the prizes are wonderful things (that only a writer would appreciate!) like free critiques. With so many popping up, I’m losing track. So, voila! Notice the new tab up top our blog?
We now have a Contest Page. Here is a place to keep all the online contests I come across and share them with you all. Sometimes contests are quick. For example, agent Nathan Bransford will spring one on the online community and give you three days to enter. Some contests, like Margie Lawson’s are monthly.
I’ll post ‘em as I see ‘em. Feel free to drop me an email/leave a comment/DM me on Twitter with other contests. I don’t plan to post “win a book” contests, unless maybe it’s a how-to book for writers.
Just so you know, I’m writing MG/YA so that’s what I usually notice. However, Kitty is Women’s Lit and Romance all the way. Stephanie has an eye for Fantasy and is also dipping her toes into nonfiction. Between the three of us we should have a wide net to look for these opportunities.

This is great! Thanks for this. I always come across them, vow to remember and enter, and inevitably forget!
