Why do I suddenly feel so relaxed after reading this post? I’m one of those writers who stresses about the minutia, so thanks for pointing out what our readers are after–the story. Love hearing a librarian’s perspective.

Shonna – Yay! I’m so pleased taht you’re feeling more relaxed! It’s sooo easy to get caught up in the little stuff but honestly it’s just your inner critic trying to mess with you!!!!

Amanda, thanks for being with us. Your point is so important. Studying and discussing craft can help us improve, but we mus remember the goal is to create stories people love. Thank you so much for giving us a librarian’s perspective.

Stephanie – you’re welcome!!!!! Yup, the story always comes first! But it’s like they often say – you need to learn the rules to break them, so craft is never wasted!!!
